About us

History

With strong dedication and enthusiam, Late Mr. Om Prakash Goyal come to Bhadrapur (Eastern Nepal) in 1962. Starting with a job at a rice mill, he soon opened his own shop which was later expanded into a wholesaler.

When the new road to Illam was constructed in 1975, he moved to Budhabare, Jhapa and started a wholesaler on agricultural products. After a series of success in his every venture, he set up his own rice production mill under the name of Goyal Rice Mill.

Through is new business propositions and technological adaptations, his accomplishments grew more and more. In 1990, he moved to Kathmandu with even bigger and better plans. After his arrival in Kathmandu, he along with his sons continued to work with the same level of dedication and labor enabling Goyal Group to be where it is today.

With each passing day, Goyal Group enlarged its business and today, Goyal Group operates in multiple fields like Real Estate, Banking & Finance, Hydropower and many more.

Founder

Late Shri Om Prakash Goyal, a visionary leader who laid the foundation stone of the group when he set up his own rice mill in Budhabare, Jhapa. A charismatic leader with a humble nature and compassionate personality. He always believed in overall development of his company where he put other people's needs above his.

A philanthropist with a heart of gold who always wanted to reach out to people and help them grow in their lives by means of education. With an unconditional love and respect for cows, he always made space for all the stray cattle in his house or the Gaushala he built for them.

In 2019, for his immensely generous philanthropic initiatives and the economic development he brought to Nepal, Nepal's government awarded him, posthumously, with the Prabal Jana Sewa Shree.

Our philosophy is simple - learn and grow, only every day. The late Mr. Om Prakash Goyal learned a great deal from his immense experience as our founder. This trove of knowledge was inherited by us and since has been an indispensable resource in our glorious endeavor.

We have come a long way since our establishment; flourishing from a whoesaler to a group of companies leading 14 enterprises in 10 different sectors. The extraordinary transformation is a result of being relentlessly ambitious, innovative and industrious. It is the resolute spirit in which we forged the great foundations of our company.

But we believe that the transformation isn't yet finished. We still strive to seek new opportunities, partnerships in the global market with an unwavering focus on our entrepreneurial management and maintaining the highest standards on performance and accountability of our products.

Mr. Kailash Goyal is the visionary behind Goyal Group. He has led the group with all his commitment and hard-work. His ideas and investments have always been optimistic and futuristic. Having an experience of over three decades, the meaning of growth for him is all-round development of the group, its associates as well as the nation. The executive member of Nepal Chamber of Commerce, the Vice President of Nepal Rashtriya Marwari Parishad and also the President of Jhapa Marwari Samaj, Mr. Kailash Goyal has been involved in many business related forums and social organizations actively. He looks after the FMCG, real estate and capital investment sectors of the group. He has been decorated with Prabal Janasewa Shree (One of the highest civilian award of Nepal) by Rt. Honourable President of Nepal, Bidya Devi Bhandari in 2018.

Anurag Goyal

Managing Director

Mr. Anurag Goyal is an alumnus of Symbiosis International University, Pune. His introduction of chemical trading to the business has been a pivotal contribution to the group. He oversees the manufacturing and banking & finance sectors of the group. He is also an Executive member of the Nepal Paint Manufacturer's Association & Confederation of Nepalese industries Young Entrepreneurs Forum (CNIYEF).

Chirag Goyal

Executive Director

After completing his post graduation from Symbiosis International University, Mr. Chirag Goyal worked as a Data Analyst in Google, Gurgaon. He is a Jain International Residential School alumnus, one of the most prestigious schools in India. He oversees the trading, mining & real estate sectors of the group. He leads the CSR activities of the group and is also involved in generous social councils which include "I am Helping Hand" & "Robin Hood Army Nepal".
